Anna Jaques Hospital is a 123 bed community hospital with an 8 bed ICU. Our volume is often not filled to capacity resulting in a small number of patients or denominator when looking at statistics. When you have a small denominator one patient fall can make the rate very high compared to other hospitals that might have a higher denominator. Anna Jaques has a strong commitment to patient safety, evidence based practices and the best outcomes possible for our patients. Looking at our data there were no injuries sustained from our critical care falls during this most recent time frame. Our med/surg combined units fall below the peer group comparison rate for falls/falls with injury. Our hospital specific falls prevention program keeps the safety of our patients foremost in our minds as we care for them.
There were no nosocomial pressure ulcers in the facility for this time frame.
